One of the most important roles of the commissioners court is crafting and ratifying the counties budget.  As a fiscal conservative I have worked to minimize property tax increases. I understand that transparency and accountability in budgets ensure that your tax dollars are prioritized and spent on the your needs.

Every dollar that the Commissioners Court uses belongs to the taxpayer. I believe that accountable spending is only done when work is focused on giving the money back to the people whenever possible.

You have a right as a taxpayer to protest to the Appraisal Review Board (ARB) if you disagree with the appraisal district value or any of the appraisal districts actions concerning your property.  You can learn more about your right to appeal from the Texas Comptroller.
